The 6 dimensions we score

Discoverability

Sitemap, robots.txt, llms.txt — can AI engines find and read your site?

Structured data

JSON-LD schema markup — Organization, FAQ, HowTo, Service, Article, Product.

Answerability

FAQ blocks, Q&A structure, definitional content that AI engines can lift verbatim.

Crawlability

Server-rendered HTML, no JS-only blocking, reasonable page weight.

Brand mentions

Organization schema with social links, brand-name disambiguation signals.

Conversational surface

Does your site have a chat agent or widget? Visitors who want to talk can't — unless you do.

Frequently asked questions

What does this audit actually check?+

Six dimensions: discoverability (sitemap, robots.txt, llms.txt), structured data (JSON-LD schema coverage), answerability (FAQ blocks, Q&A structure), crawlability (server-rendered content, no JS-only blocking), brand mentions (Organization schema, social links), and conversational surface (chat/agent presence). Each scored 0–100.

Is this free? Do I need to sign up?+

Completely free, no signup needed. You get the full score + top 5 fixes immediately. Optionally email yourself the report to keep it.

How is AI-readiness different from SEO?+

SEO optimises for search-engine rankings. AI-readiness optimises for being cited by AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews. Overlap exists (structured data, crawlability) but AI engines weight definitional content, FAQ structure, and llms.txt much higher than traditional SEO signals.

What's llms.txt and why does it matter?+

llms.txt is a plain-text file at your domain root that tells AI engines what your site is about and where to find key pages. Think of it as robots.txt but for AI assistants. Sites with llms.txt get cited more accurately.

Will my data be saved?+

No. The audit runs live — we fetch your public URL, analyse it, and return the result. Nothing is stored unless you click 'Email me this report.'

How can a Squidgy agent help with my score?+

Some fixes are things an AI agent can directly address — for example, adding a conversational surface to your site (a Squidgy agent deployed as a chat widget), or building an FAQ-bot that improves your answerability score. The audit flags which fixes an agent could help with.
