1. What this policy covers

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) we use on squidgy.ai, what each is for, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal information more generally. The controller is 4142 Ltd, trading as Squidgy (see the Privacy Notice for full details).

2. How we ask for your consent

When you first visit, we show a cookie banner. Cookies and trackers that are not strictly necessary — our analytics and our marketing/attribution tracking — do not run until you choose "Accept all". If you choose "Decline", only strictly necessary technologies are used. We remember your choice so we do not ask every visit, and you can change it at any time (see §4).

3. The technologies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

• Consent preference — we store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage (under the key squidgy-consent) so we can honour it. This is not shared with anyone.
• Sign-in and security — when you use the Squidgy app, cookies and tokens keep you signed in and protect your session. Without these the service cannot function, so they do not require consent.

Analytics (only with your consent)

• PostHog — product and website analytics, hosted in the EU. Helps us understand how the site and product are used so we can improve them. Uses cookies and local storage. Loads only after you accept.

Marketing and attribution (only with your consent)

• HighLevel — attribution and marketing tracking that helps us understand which campaigns bring people to Squidgy. Loads only after you accept.

We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not use advertising cookies that track you across other websites.

4. How to change your choice or block cookies

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing the squidgy-consentvalue from your browser's site data for squidgy.ai, which brings the banner back on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — though some strictly necessary cookies are needed for the app to work, so blocking everything may stop you signing in.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the technologies we use change. When we do, we will update the effective date above. For anything else, email privacy@squidgy.ai.
